Super 8 videos are like home videos.. but BETTER! They give such a nostalgia feel that is so fun to play with! Although most Super 8's don't capture audio, they sure do capture a whole lot of emotion.
Most people love the super 8 video for its choppy film, and coloring! As a wedding photographer, and super 8 videographer myself, it's another great way to capture a wedding day (naturally I must add, as there are NO cuts!). Documentary is the only way to go with these bad boys!
Like most 40-year-old cameras, there are some cons that come with working with film.
Developing film is its own art, things can go very wrong when processing it.
the cartridge of film can stick causing the film to not record.
The batteries are hard to find as they have been discontinued.
Given the cons, and the errors that can occur, that doesn't stop someone like me from enjoying its full framed beauty! Catching the raw emotion of an 8mm is something I will never give up!
Video below is my personal wedding video!
